The project to create a platform for the detection of clinical and preclinical diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers was initiated by the Blood & Brain Institute @Caen-Normandie (BB@C) and the GIP Cyceron to address the challenges in biomedical research.
Established in 2023, InnovaSEQ – Cell sorting and NGS @ Caen Normandie is a non-thematic university service platform hosted within the Biology Research Building of the University Hospital of Caen Normandie. It offers equipment and services for cell sorting and high-throughput sequencing for research projects.
InnovaSEQ provides its expertise in transcriptomics and genomics to support the public and private scientific and medical communities in the search for new prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers to improve patient care for all types of pathologies. Recently certified ISO 9001:2015 (with the exception of chapter 8.3) for its high-throughput sequencing services on human samples, InnovaSEQ works in synergy with InnovaBIO to offer the scientific and medical community a continuum that enhances biological resources.
The platform is open to the development and implementation of new protocols to meet the specific needs of the scientific community.
